Student Member of Access and Participation Plan Project Groups - Mental Health and Disability

Student member of Teesside University's Access and Participation Plan Project Group, Group is tasked with reducing gaps in equality for students with disabilities including diagnosed mental health conditions, autism and Dyslexia.

What You'll Do: 

Undergo up to an hours training on the Access and Participation Plan 

Attend a 1 hour meeting of the group on campus every month. Current meetings are scheduled for 

5th of November 20241.00 to 2.00 p.m. 

18th December 2024 10.00 to 11.00 a.m.

9th of January 2025 2.00 to 3.00 p.m.

9th of February 2025 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. 

5th of March 2025 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Provide insight into the student experince and collaboarte with group members to ensure the successful implementation of activities outlined in the University's Access and Participation Plan. 

Have the opportunity to get involved in the implementation of activities and evaluation.

What We're Looking For: 
Someone With experience or knowledge of studying at university with a diagnosed mental health condition, social communication difficulty or cognitive learning difficulty, such as dyslexia.  Understand inclusivity and is aware of the Equality Act.  Who can work collaboratively and within the scope set out for them. Who can express their views, knowledge, and ideas within a meeting.  Who is passionate about reducing inequalities.
