Helping with the care of the horses and assisting in riding therapy lessons with our disabled riders.

What You'll Do:

There are a variety of ways to get involved with the Unicorn Centre and volunteers can take part in a variety of tasks to suit your skills including:

. General Horse Care

· Grooming, tacking up

· Assisting in lessons: leading ponies and side-walking with riders

· Helping with fundraising events: catering, helping with raffles, tombolas, public collections etc

· Assisting at our weekend and evening competitions either writing for the dressage judge, scoring or manning the doors

· Volunteers also have the opportunity to train to become a RDA Instructor

Why You'll Love It:
It's so rewarding and not hard work at all!  Don’t just take our word for it …   “I love everything about the Unicorn Centre. The horses are lovely and it is nice to see the children’s faces when they are riding the ponies”     We offer you a worthwhile and rewarding opportunity to work in a safe, fun environment with other like-minded people.
What You'll Learn:
No prior knowledge of horse care is required as full training will be given.
What We're Looking For:
The Unicorn Centre is a natural fit for volunteers who have experience in horses and ponies but there are lots of different tasks to be done – many of which don’t involve horses.   Commitment and a can do attitude, willing to get involved with all aspects of the Centre.
