Are you into Art, Design & Culture? Are you ready to be a part of an unforgettable experience? Middlesbrough Art Week will be sparking conversations again this Autumn, and we're on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to help make it happen!

What You'll Do: 

Middlesbrough Art Week is back for its 7th edition and takes place across Middlesbrough town centre. It runs for a full week of exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, events and exciting public interventions.

 

As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in creating a vibrant atmosphere and ensuring that attendees have a fantastic time. Whether you're a seasoned event volunteer or new to the scene, we welcome all to be a part of our dedicated team.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Assisting attendees.
  • Answering queries about artworks and the wider festival programme.
  • Directing attendees to venues across Middlesbrough.
  • Assisting with the set up and take down of workshops.
  • Assisting attendees at workshops.

What You'll Learn: 
Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Inclusivity & Accessibility and Carbon Literacy. You can get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. You'll also be able to take part in and earn badges with the RSAs exciting Badge Nation Programme.   If you have accessibility needs, please let us know when you apply. We can always make reasonable adjustments so the role works for you.   You can claim back your travel expenses (within Teesside) and we will provide food or a food voucher for each shift you work.
What We're Looking For: 
Folks who love contemporary Art. Folks with good communication skills. Friendly, approachable individuals who can help deliver the festival across the week. Collaborative spirits who thrive in a dynamic environment!
